About Julia Clarke

Julia Clarke designs and creates sculptural pieces for garden or landscape settings, using mild steel and woven willow. Trained in Fine art Sculpture, she mixes her love of art and design with her passion for gardens and the environment and works using the traditional methods of metalwork and weaving. This year Julia has created nest like sculptures from woven willow to be exhibited at the queens woods art show. She is currently working with clay and mixed media to create sculptures suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces.

Biography / CV of Julia Clarke

June 2016 Artist in residence at Brampton Manor Academy. Creating site specific installation of willow birds, working with years 10 and 12.
April/May 2016 3 week artist school project for BOW ARTS Selwyn and Portway Schools. Working with year 5 creating school installation of birds in flight.
July 2015 Artist in residence Wendell Park Primary School giant willow insects for Art week with every pupil in school
June 2015 Artist in school for Arts week Chesterton Primary School. Created display using art work created with nursery, reception and yr 1 and 2 pupils. for BOW ARTS.
June 2015 Created Abstract Sculptures from Willow with sixth form pupils at St Teresa’s School
May 2015 Exhibited at Saltaire Mill Open Houses exhibition
May 2015 Crouch End Open Studios
May 2015 Exhibited at Hornsey Town Hall- taster exhibition for Crouch End Open Studios
May 2015 resident artist at Selwyn Primary School working with year 2 creating 3d work and display for Fire of London Project for BOW Arts
